Film 🎥 review. "The Day After Tomorrow"
"The Day After Tomorrow" is an American climatescience fictiondisaster film, which tells us about the consequences of the unwise use of the planet's resources. The film director, co-author and co-producer is Roland Emmerich. The film stars are Dennis Quaid as Jack Hall, a NOAA paleoclimatologist; Jake Gyllenhaal as Samuel "Sam" Hall, Jack's son; Ian Holm as Terry Rapson, a Scottish oceanographer of Scotland's Hedland Centre; Emmy Rossum as Laura Chapman, Sam's friend and love interest, and Sela Ward as Dr. Lucy Hall, a physician, Jack's wife and Sam's mother.
The plot of the film is about scientist Jack Hall who along with other like-minded people, is trying to warn the world about a possible environmental catastrophe. The U.S. government ignores their concerns and the new ice age occurs, resulting in the death of millions. The second storyline focuses on Jack's son Sam, the same smart and strong guy as a dad. He twice saves a girl he likes from death and also helps the people who survived. Throughout the film, we can see people's struggle for life and it motivates us to appreciate what we have and strive for the best.
The film is filled with terrible and touching moments. "The Day After Tomorrow" shows to us the real-world effects of climate change on our planet and extremes of what could happen if we're not careful. I liked the film, I was scared of the possibilities of nature, I cried looking at the power of a man who wants to live, I was happy when all this horror is over. The film teaches us to hear each other, be strong and never give up.
It will bring you a lot of emotions and a lot of useful things.
Good viewing!
